Pōlani Private Reserve

Pōlani Private Reserve

Pōlani (pronounced poh-lah-nee) means pure in Hawaiian, and also clean, beautiful. All of these words describe both the Pōlani farm and the coffee it produces. This farmer has been lovingly tending his organic family farm for several decades, and you can taste it in every sip.

This coffee has a distinctive flavor profile that sets it apart. While it offers the delicious chocolate tones coffee lovers expect from our region, Pōlani is less sweet, nuttier, and more complex than a typical Kona. It’s something you won’t want to miss!

This farmer only produces a few hundred pounds of exceptional coffee every year, and sells it exclusively through Pele Plantations. Make sure you try it while inventory lasts.

We ship freshly roasted whole beans for optimal flavor and freshness.

Five pound orders may be shipped as one bulk bag or five one pound bags, depending on availability.

TASTING NOTES
“This coffee is nutty, with orange and dark chocolate tones. Not overly sweet, it delivers strong, satisfying and complex flavor.”

Coffee Origin

Coffee Farm in Kona, Hawai‘i

ABOUT THE ESTATE

The farm is planted in the traditional Japanese “Old Hawaiian Style,” which means there is no organized spacing in between the trees. Rather, the coffee trees follow the contours of the land. The farm sits at a nice elevation of 1500 feet in Holualoa, ensuring the plants get plenty of rain and shade – two of the most important ingredients for creating the best Kona flavor. The third important ingredient is the amount of care the trees receive from the owner, who has been a dedicated organic farmer for the last five decades.
